Experience

The Big Daddy of Day Hikes

This is a seriously strenuous hike but definitely worth it.  After hiking switchbacks through dense forest for the first 2.5 miles, you will begin to get glimpses of the awesome scenery that is about to unfold before your eyes.  As you draw closer to the summit, you will experience an orgy of breath taking views in all directions.  Be sure to take your camera.

If you enjoy identifying nearby mountain peaks, you will have spectacular views in all directions. From the summit you will see Three Fingers and Whitehorse Mountain with Baker and Shuksan in the background.  Mt. Forgotten is close by to the north with White Chuck and Pugh Mountains just beyond.  To the east are Sloan Peak and Monte Cristo.  To the south are Del Campo, Morning Star, and Sperry Mountains.
