If you are looking for a great hike relatively close to the Seattle metro area, this is the one. The trail passes trough old growth forest and meanders along Lake Twenty-two Creek. You will pass by 3 waterfalls on the trail along with some great scenery. Plan to spend several hours at the lake enjoying the scenery and serenity.
Drive 12.8 miles east of Granite Falls (2.1 miles east of the Verlot Public Service Center) on the Mountain Loop Highway. The trailhead parking lot will be on the right side of the highway.
