Experience

Nice Little Hike

This scenic and short hike is situated between Rainy and Washington pass.  If you are in the area, it is well worth the time to hike this little gem.  The short 4 miles round trip can be hiked as a side trip or even a stop to stretch your legs during a trip over the North Cascades highway.

The combination of deep blue sky, the turquoise lake and larch trees is overwhelming. As if that were not enough, there are peaks, sheer cliffs and quiet little tarns. You'll want to return in the fall when the grasses glitter with frost, the tarns are etched in ice and the larches are ablaze.
