This is a great hike that is relatively close to the Seattle area. On this reasonably well maintained wooded trail, you will have many opportunities to take in beautiful territorial views.
The campground is open from June 15, to October 15. There are a number of campsites and a toilet at the base of Boulder Lake. Come early if you plan to camp at this popular area. Water is available from the lake.
Take U.S. Highway 2 to Sultan, Wa. On the east side of Sultan, turn north on Sultan Basin Road (at the stop light). After you drive approximately 10 miles north on Sultan Basin Road, you will come to Olney Pass where you are asked to sign in before you continue. After the sign in station, drive one half mile to road NF-6129 and take the fork to the right. Drive 6 miles to the trailhead (right side of the road) on NF-6129.
