If you like waterfalls, this trail is a wonderland in early summer when the snow starts to melt. The big daddy of course is Bridal Veil Falls but there are many other spectacular falls along the trail to Lake Serene. To visit the Bridal Veil Falls observatory, you need to take a 1 mile side trip from the Lake Serene trail.
If you go directly to Lake Serene, the round trip is approximately 8 miles. If you take the Bridal Veil falls side trip, total milage for bridal Veil Falls and Lake Serene combined is slightly over 9 miles.
Drive east on U.S Highway 2 from Monroe to milepost 35. At mile post 35 (just before the Skykomish bridge), turn right and go 0.3 miles to the trailhead parking lot.
