Experience

Great Hike

Ever changing scenery and a good workout are the main features of this hike.  This hike starts by following Snowy Creek approximately 2 wooded miles.  After two miles the trail breaks out into a meadow,  Rock Mountain summit at 2,600 feet above comes into view.

On the ascent to the summit many seasonal views can be found.  Early in the season, meadows with wildflowers, later vivid Autumn colors.  In less than 1 mile from the meadow, the trail breaks out into open meadow with views of the surrounding area.

The summit of Rock Mountain used to be a Forest Service lookout.  Great territorial views can be had.  Mt. Rainier to the south and Mt. Baker to the north.  Plan to spend time at the summit to enjoy the sights.
